Grown-Up Clothes for Work

I teach at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles so I have to (get to) dress like a grown-up a few days a week. I'm going to post my work outfits on here. Mostly so I don't end up wearing the same thing twice. I'm not kidding. It's very easy to forget.

I decided to do this at the end of the day on Monday after I taught my afternoon class and then another night class somewhere else. There was no one to take a picture for me and no decent place to take it so...basically I'm apologizing in advance for the poor quality of the photo. Hopefully you'll get an idea of what it looked like before it was rumpled and abused.

The top and skirt are thrifted, like most of my clothes. (not bragging) (maybe a little)
The necklace is from the FIDM Scholarship Store which is almost like thrifting but everything's new.
Shoes are from Marshall's.
The belt I've had over 10 years I think.

Playing beat the timer. The timer won.

  1. Hello, I am a blogger in the over 50 bracket and I have a blast. At first I was slow going. But now I feel I have nothing to loose.
So from one "silverstyle" to another welcome!

  2. Hi, this is my first time reading your blog. I got it from Paula's blog. I'm you new follower as well. Really like the black and white combination and the skirt flair.
    Will be stopping by often,
