I had such a great time giving a presentation to the wonderful volunteers of the Pasadena Museum of History. There were about 40 men and women and they were a lot of fun. Some people had come in beforehand and made a bunch of hats of various shapes and colors out of paper and put them on all the seats so everyone could wear one.
These ladies were very sweet and posed for me. They did a good job of finding hats to match their outfits.
This is what I wore. Including the bee-you-tee-ful purse my sister got me for my birthday.
Also, check out the shoes. I still can't wear a close-toed shoe but I got these great SUPER comfortable shoes at Goodwill yesterday (with the leopard coat that I promise I will wear next week.) These shoes will give me more dressy options for work until my toe gets better. They were in perfect shape and looked pretty much unworn. They're Unisa brand. Anybody know about them? Unfortunately my face wouldn't cooperate and I kept looking silly or weird in all the shots

ReplyDelete@terri-I didn't use notes. It was on the History of Fashion from 1860-1960. It's part of what I teach at FIDM so I just made a powerpoint and talked. If you're interested in something in particular, I might be able to steer you toward some books.
